Tourism promotion in Bangkok



Kathmandu, Sept. 15:
The Embassy of Nepal in Bangkok, Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), Nepal Airlines and Society of Travel and Tour Operators (SOTTO) Nepal jointly organized a tourism promotion programme in Bangkok, Thailand.
According to a press statement issued by the embassy, a large number of travel/tour operators from Nepal and Thailand and representatives of various Thai business organisations participated in the ‘Nepal Night: B2B Tourism Event’ held on the other day.
“The programme was aimed at bringing together the business communities from Nepal and Thailand, which could greatly contribute to promoting tourism business between the two countries,” reads the statement.
Ambassador of Nepal to Thailand Dr. Khaga Nath Adhikari encouraged the travel/tour operators of the both countries to further promote their business relations.
He expressed happiness that the programme provided a platform for bringing together real businessmen from both sides.
Nepali artistes in Bangkok, in coordination with Thai Nepali Association, presented Nepali cultural performance during the programme.
“The programme was very useful in promoting business linkages between Nepal and Thailand, and thus contributing to promote tourism cooperation between the countries,” said Dr. Adhikari.
Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Bimal Kandel of NTB, Anil Lama of SOTTO made presentations on tourism opportunities in both the countries.
