Miss Nepal's health post project receives support


Kathmandu, Aug. 5:
Gorkha Eco Panel has announced material support to the health post being constructed by Miss Nepal Shrinkhala Khatiwada in Kailash Rural Municipality -7 of Makwanpur district.

Khatiwada is constructing a health post in the Chepang settlement in Kailash. She is the brand ambassador of Gorkha Eco Panel, a product of International Green Developers Nepal Pvt. Ltd.

The company is to extend support to the eco panel, prefabricated wall material, worth Rs. 1.2 million to the health infrastructure under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme. 

Company’s Chief Executive Officer Krishna Bhakta Duwal said that his company was offering support to the health post’s construction as the village was lagging behind in development, and the Chepangs were economically poor and have poor access to modern health facilities.

Herself an architect, Shrinkhala has designed and is constructing the health facility at a cost of Rs. 4 million with financial and other support from various organisations.

A documentary film on the making of the health post will be made, which Miss Nepal Khatiwada will present during her participation at the Miss World Competition on December 8 this year in Sanya, China.

She said that the project would support her theme ‘Beauty with a purpose’.
