Zippo comes to Nepal

Kathmandu, Dec. 29: American brand Zippo has made an official entry to Nepal.

The company famous for Zippo lighters around globe has also brought hand warmers, eyewear products, sunglasses and lighter fuel to Nepal.

"Consumers now can buy more than 100 varieties of Zippo products in Nepal at reasonable price," said Manish Mishra, Managing Director of Zipal Company Pvt. Ltd, distributer of Zippo in Nepal.

Zippo lighters will be available at the price of minimum Rs. 2,560 to Rs. 24,000. "They are windproof, refillable, durable and easy to operate. In more than 86 years, no one has spent a cent on the mechanical repair of a Zippo pocket lighter regardless of the lighter's age or condition," said the company.

The lighters have durable metal construction. More than 550 million Zippo lighters have been sold worldwide so far.

The company also aims at operating a service center in the near future. The company was founded by George G. Blaisdell in 1932 in the USA.
