grid through the Kabeli corridor.
The
project developed by Rairang Hydropower Development Company, promoted by Ridi
Hydropower Development Company, has sent 9.9MW electricity to the national grid
from Wednesday.
The
project started sending about 25 per cent of the produced electricity to the
national grid a couple of days ago and from Friday, all the energy produced by
the project is connected to the grid.
The
project is developed in erstwhile Tharpu village of Panchthar district and
Sablakhu of Taplejung district.

substation at Amarpur of Panchthar in the Kabeli corridor.
The
Rs. 1.6 billion project was started about three years ago. It has 25 per cent
equity of Ridi Hydel Project, 10 per cent of locals, 15 per cent common people
