Management
Association of Nepal (MAN) is organising first-ever CEO Conference 2020 on
coming Friday, April 9, in the capital.
The conference,
themed 'Re-engineering management: survival, revival and growth', is expected
to be attended by more than 300 chief executive officers (CEOs), said Kiran
Kumar Shrestha, President of MAN.
"This is
the biggest gathering of the CEOs of seven different sectors in the country,
they will share their expertise, innovative ideas, views and insights," he
said.
According to
him, the event will expose CEOs of various sectors to the public as well. While
the chief executives of the banks and financial institutions are treated as
celebrities, leaders from other business sectors are less heard of.
The conference
will share ideas on problem solving methods as well.
Prime Minister
Sher Bahadur Deuba will be the chief guest of the ceremony while Minister for
Communication and Information Technology, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, and Minister
for Finance, Janardan Sharma, will also address the conference, and National Management
Convention and National Management Award Ceremony slated to be organised on
April 10.
Anil Upadhyay,
Executive Director of MAN, said that Economist Dr. Bishwas Gauchan and Prof.
Dr. Mahanand Chalise will present papers at the Management Convention while Bindu
Nath Lohani, former Vice President of the Asian Development Bank, will be
keynote speaker.
Likewise,
Treasurer of MAN, Anu Joshi, said that post-COVID organisational management is
the major theme of the conference. "We are finding commonalities in issues
and problem-solving in the conference," she said.
