Khetan elected as Nepal-Peru CCI President

Kathmandu, Aug 11
Sandip Khetan is elected as the President of the Nepal-Peru Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Its seventh Annual General Assembly had elected him as the head of the organisation, and Rakesh Kumar Sarawagi was elected as the vice-president.

Similarly, Kumar Khatiwada and Anil Agrawal were elected as the secretary and treasurer of the chamber. Nirmal Raj Poudel, LalitAgrawal and KunjaBihari More have become the members of the working committee.

Speaking at the AGM, Honorary Consul General of Peru for Nepal Sumit Kumar Agrawal said that Nepal-Peru CCI was established to strengthen economic and diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Nepal is importing zinc and aluminium from Peru. Since Nepal’s trade deficit with Peru has increased by 95 per cent in the last fiscal year, the former should promote export and tourism, said Agrawal.

He said that programmes to promote Nepali products in Peru would be organised in the near future.
