Kathmandu, May 14
As
a response to the increasing COVID cases, Zonta Club of Kathmandu has donated four
oxygen concentrators to the Paropkar Maternity and Women's Hospital (Prasuti
Griha) in Thapathali.
The
four oxygen concentrators were handed over yesterday to Dr. Subedi, Head Covid
Wing In-charge at the hospital, said the club in a statement on Friday.
"The
recent surge in COVID cases has resulted in a shortage of oxygen in
hospitals across the country. This situation has been particularly grave
for pregnant and new mothers who are infected with COVID-19," read the
statement.
Seema
Golchha, President of the club, said, "With the mission of working
towards the betterment of women and children, we hope that this support helps
those in need."
