Sejon flays Khadka for threat to journo



Kathmandu, Aug. 5: The Society of Economic Journalists-Nepal (SEJON) has condemned Executive Director of Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) Gopal Bahadur Khadka for issuing a threat to journalist Dilip Poudel.
On Friday, Khadka had threatened Poudel over a news report published in Nagrik daily.
He had threatened to damage the career of Paudel, a member of SEJON and reporter of Nagarik daily.
He had written news about the irregularities of the NOC while purchasing land for the construction petroleum storage facility.
Saying that the incident has drawn concerns of SEJON, it has urged the government and other concerned stakeholders to respect the rights of the journalist to collect news and right to expression.
