Kathmandu,
Nov. 22: Secretary General of the South Asian Association for Regional
Cooperation (SAARC) Amjad Hussian B. Sial on Wednesday called on Vice-President
Nanda Bahadur Pun, and extended an invitation to him to attend the 33rd
SAARC Charter Day Celebration Ceremony.
The
Charter Day Celebration Ceremony will be held on December 8.
According
to a press statement issued by the SAARC Secretariat, the Vice-President accepted
the invitation.
“During
the meeting, VP Pun expressed his hope that the SAARC process would gain momentum
from the experience and able leadership of Sial,” reads the statement.
The
Secretary General thanked the VP for the support he has received from the
Government of Nepal since he assumed the office.
He
also expressed hope that he would continue to receive full support of the Government
of Nepal in discharging of his duties.
