Meeting of Nepal-Bangladesh
Technical Committee for the Promotion of Trade between Two Countries started in
the Capital on Tuesday.
The fourth
meeting of the committee that will run till Wednesday will discuss on about two
dozen agenda including energy trade, use of ports, yarn export, visa
facilitation for Nepali students, aviation, food and agricultural products and
cargo movement.
Joint-Secretary
at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies (MoICS) Nabaraj Dhakal is
leading 14-member Nepali delegation, and 7-member Bangladeshi delegation is led
by Additional Secretary Sarifa Khan.
According
to the MoICS, the meeting is expected to make some major decisions in the
bilateral trade promotion between the two countries, and there might be some
progress in terms of operating direct flight services.
