Online payment service
provider E-Sewa has received the ISO 27001:2013 certificate for its quality and
reliable service.
The first company of its
kind in the country is in business for more than a decade enabling the
consumers to make payment via mobile and internet.
"The ISO certificate has certified that our services and technical
structure are safe, of quality and world class," said the company in a
statement issued on Wednesday.
Chief Executive Officer of the company Subhas Sapkota said that they had
given top priority to information technology, privacy and security management.
"Since we provide services based on technology, we have applied
world-class security protocols. So the ISO certificate has further approved our
commitment to quality and safe service," he said.
The new edition of ISO 27001:2013 is known as the reliable instrument to
measure the credibility and safety management. It analyses all standards
applied by the company and makes the conclusions before awarding the
certificate.
E-Sewa had started its service in 2009 with a beta version and formally
entered into the business from 2010 January. Currently it has abour 3.5 million
customers and more than 100,000 agents.
