NBL reduces government nominees in its board

Kathmandu, Oct. 6

Nepal Bank Limited has reduced the number of directors nominated by the government from four to three.

A special Annual General Meeting of the bank on Monday has decided to bring down the number of government nominated members in the Board of Directors of the company while the representation from the public shareholders is increased to three from two.

The AGM organised via virtual Zoom meeting has amended the company bylaws, informed spokesperson of NBL Prakash Kumar Adhikari.

The meeting has also authorised the Board of Directors to make the necessary changes in the statute and bylaws of the bank should there be any recommendations from the regulatory bodies.
