Kathmandu, Oct. 2
Vice President of Nepali Congress Bimalendra Nidhi has urged party President
and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to give the Cabinet a complete shape.
“This is a matter of worry for the party and the government because the
Cabinet has not received a complete shape even three months after the Prime Minister
was appointed,” he said while addressing a seminar organised in the Capital on
the occasion of Gandhi Memorial and International Non-Violence Day.
He urged the party chief to appoint ministers and expedite the
government works.
“I urge the president of the party who is leading the government to
respond to the demand of the party and people and complete the expnasion of the
Cabinet,” he said.
Nidhi said that adhering to the principles of Gandhi, who led the
independence movement in India and propounded non-violence, would help reach
the destination.
Central Committee Member Arjun Narsingh KC suggested government to form
a high-level committee to assess the works of the previous government.
He criticised the party leadership for the ‘active membership’ row and
urged to end the lawlessness situation.
Former Minister Hom Nath Dahal said that Gandhi’s philosophy was relevant
even today.
