Kathmandu, Feb. 7
Siddharth Hospitality,
which has been operating three dozen hotels and cafes including a five-star
hotel 'Siddharth Vilasha' in Bhairahawa, has completed 25 years in business.
The group started its
journey from Tikapur 26 years ago and has been directly and indirectly
employing more than 2,000 people.
Laxman Neupane, President
of the Hospitality, said that despite the impact of the economic recession in
the past due to the political instability in the country, it is a great
achievement for the companies under the Siddharth Group to earn a profit.
He said, "This is
also an example of how we are promoting a financially capable and well-managed
hospitality company with quality."
Siddharth Hospitality has
announced 15 per cent to 50 per cent discount on food and accommodation at
various outlets for a week on the occasion of its anniversary.
Last year, the Group opened
a five-star hotel in Bhairahawa and a luxury resort in Sauraha in Chitwan. A hotel
run by the Group in Nepalgunj received the prestigious SATA award in the
tourism sector, while the Siddharth Riverside Resort on Prithvi Highway and the
Siddharth Resort in Surkhet managed to receive the ‘excellent’ classification
in terms of food quality from the Government of Nepal.
Last year, the Surkhet Resort
was upgraded to four-star level by adding 37 rooms, a wellness centre (including
a swimming pool, health club, spa) and a restaurant.
The Group has organised
various social programmes weekly through a non-profit organisation 'Sakar' as
part of its social responsibility.
Neupane informed that on
the occasion of the anniversary, blood donation, sanitation, distribution of
food to orphanages and distribution of necessary materials including
educational materials to students were organised through various outlets.
Along with hospitality,
this Group is promoting business in various fields through companies such as
Siddharth Trading Concern, Siddharth Institute of Hospitality and Siddharth
Biotica (agricultural firm).
Siddharth Group has
planned to operate at least 58 small and large outlets in the country and
abroad by the year 2030 under its 'Vision 2030' plan.
Next year, there are
plans to open a new hotel in Dhangadhi in Kailali, Damauli in Tanahun and a
restaurant with a banquet in Yogikuti in Rupandehi.
