Nepal’s information technology company, InfoDevelopers
Private Limited, has been honoured with an international award in Japan. The
company received the ‘Digital Government Award’ in the Private Sector category
at the 2024 Digital Summit, organised by the Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry
Organisation (ASOCIO).
Founder and Director of Marketing, Innovation, and Strategy
at InfoDevelopers, Umesh Ragubanshi, received the award. The award specifically
acknowledges the company's efforts to improve Government-to-Business (G2B)
and Government-to-Citizen (G2C) interactions, it said in a statement on Friday.
The ASOCIO is an international federation of IT industry
associations from 24 countries across Asia. It annually honours institutions,
companies, and individuals for outstanding achievements, presenting awards at
the ASOCIO Digital Summit.
"InfoDevelopers is known for its role in digitising
public sector systems in Nepal, enhancing efficiency, transparency and
accessibility through advanced fintech and ICT solutions integrated with
government services," read the statement.
The company stated that receiving the Digital Government
Award reflects its commitment to innovation and excellence.
Director Ragubanshi who is also the Vice-President of CAN
Federation, remarked, “This is a testament to the hard work of our entire team.
The award highlights the growing role of Nepali companies in the global digital
ecosystem. We look forward to collaborating on more impactful projects in the
government’s digital transformation journey.”
