Kathmandu, Dec. 24
Himalayan Hideaway
Resort Pokhara developed and to be operated by Centara Hotels and Resorts will
open on 1 January 2026.
“This milestone marks
the introduction of the first Thai luxury hospitality brand to the city,
expanding the group’s international portfolio within the region,” the company
informed in a statement.
According to it, situated
in the hills of Kaskikot, approximately 35-minute drive from Pokhara, the
resort is positioned as a secluded sanctuary offering panoramic views of the
Annapurna Range and Fishtail Mountain.
The property comprises
42 guest rooms, suites, and villas designed with a combination of Nepali
architectural elements and Thai-inspired accents. Accommodations include
features such as open skylights, private gardens, and expansive balconies.
The resort’s
facilities include four distinct dining venues—featuring an all-day restaurant,
a specialty Pan-Asian outlet, and a scenic tea house—alongside a gym, an
outdoor swimming pool, and a spa.
Beyond on-site
amenities, the establishment offers curated local experiences, including
village walks on the Sarangkot Loop Trail and paragliding over Phewa Lake.
General Manager of the
resort Prapaijit Thongma said that the resort aims to provide a refined
experiential luxury that blends Nepali and Thai hospitality. Furthermore, the
resort operates under a social enterprise ethos, intended to support local
livelihoods and community wellbeing in the Kaskikot region.
