Kathmandu, Dec. 27
On the occasion of its
historic Diamond Jubilee, the Nepal Chamber of Commerce has successfully
organised a Corporate Golf Tournament. The tournament, which was participated
in by industrialists and businesspeople from the private sector, was held at
the Royal Nepal Golf Club in Kathmandu.
The NCC awarded the
winners of the tournament on Saturday.
They were honoured with
certificates by the Chair of the NCC’s Diamond Jubilee Main Celebration
Committee and former President Rajesh Kazi Shrestha, President Kamlesh Kumar
Agrawal, Immediate Past President Rajendra Malla, and Senior Vice-President
Deepak Malhotra. A total of fifteen winners were awarded prizes in the
competition.
On the occasion, Chamber
Vice-President and Coordinator of the Golf Tournament, Arjun Sharma, said that
the Chamber’s 75-year journey has truly been historic and inspiring. “For more
than seven decades, the NCC has been playing a significant role in the
development of trade, industry, entrepreneurship, and the private sector in the
country,” he said.
Sharma further noted that
the Corporate Golf Tournament was organised with the objective of promoting
sports tourism in Nepal. He added that the golf tournament organised on the
occasion of the historic Diamond Jubilee reflects not only sporting excellence
but also the NCC’s social engagement, discipline, focus, integrity, and
long-term vision.
To mark its 75th
anniversary and historic Diamond Jubilee, the Chamber has been celebrating this
year in a grand manner by organising various programmes.
