Shuttle service for tourist on the Election Day

Kathmandu, May 13:
Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) said that shuttle bus service would be provided to the tourists on Sunday, the day of local elections.
As the Election Commission of Nepal has restricted any public or private vehicle, except some private vehicles that have obtained permission from the ECN, ply on the street on the Election Day, the NTB is operating the airport shuttle service to facilitate the tourists.
Vehicular movement will be stopped from Saturday midnight to Sunday midnight in Provinces 3, 4 and 6.
The ECN has granted permission to the Board to operate the shuttle service from 6:00 am.
However, the service will be limited to picking up the tourists from the hotels and dropping them at the Tribhuvan International Airport or vice versa. Both domestic as well as foreign tourists and passangers will be benefited by the service.
According to the NTB, no general public will be allowed in the bus, and the buses will not stop in between the route approved by the ECN, from airport to different hotels in Kathmanu and Lalitpur.
“The service will only be given to the tourists coming to Nepal and going out of the country,” said spokesperson of the NTB Sharad Pradhan.
NTB will mobilize the Tourist Police for the safety of the tourists.
There will be three routes.
The first route is from TIA to New Road, Hotel Annapurna, Hotel Yak and Yeti, Thamel Chowk, Lainchaur and Hotel Shankar, and to TIA.
Likewise, second route is from TIA to Hotel Shangrila, Narayangopal Chowk, Maharajgunj, Hyatt Regency, Chabahil chowk and Dwarik Hotel, and to TIA.
Similarly, route three is from TIA to Tinkune, Baneshwor, Maitighar, Hotel Himalaya, St. Xavier’s School, Soaltee Hotel and Grand Hotel and to TIA.
