FNCCI to support the govt in fighting Covid19


Kathmandu, Mar 12
The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has said that it would be in ready position to support the government in preventing and controlling the spread of the nobel coronavirus (Covid 19).
Its executive committee meeting on Thursday has decided to run awareness campaign through its country-wide network in collaboration with the UNDP and UNICEF.
“We have decided to run the campaign as the World Health Organisation has announced the emergency situation and we are a country with high risk of of the pandemic,” read a statement of the business body.
The FNCCI has decided to form a task force led by its Vice-President Umesh Lal Shrestha and collecte necessary equipment, medicine and sanitary goods and distribute to the needy people.
It has also decided to request its provincial chapters to run awareness programmes when it was necessary.
