President of Action Works Nepal, Samjhana Poudel, has been
honoured with the 'Social Impact Award 2022'.
Paudel was honoured with the award by a network of social
organisations working in Asian countries focusing on the health education of
women and adolescent girls and their livelihood issues.
In a programme held earlier this week in Tamil Nadu, India,
along with Paudel, women from other countries in Asia received the awards of different
categories.
Poudel was honoured with the award from among the women who
have focused on the issues of health, education and livelihood of women and
teenagers in Asian countries. She has been working in the journalism profession
for a long time and is currently associated with Outline Media.
Action Works Nepal has been working in the areas of health,
education and livelihood of women and girls in the districts of Karnali Province.
It informs women about reproductive health, legal recognition of abortion, use
of family planning tools in rural areas and provides necessary health materials
to concerned health institutions.
