Dhaka-Lumbini flights discussed

Kathmandu, Jan. 31

Foreign Minister Dr. Bimala Rai Paudyal has discussed starting direct flight form Dhaka airport to the Gautam Buddha International Airport.

In a meeting with Ambassador of Bangladesh to Nepal, Salahuddin Noman Chowdhury at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) on Tuesday afternoon, she requested to start flights between Dhaka and Bhairahawa.

The two also discussed enhancing cooperation and partnership between Nepal and Bangladesh in tourism, trade and agriculture sector.

Ambassador Choudhary requested FM Dr. Paudyal to hold a meeting with her Bangladeshi counterpart, Dr. AK Abdul Momen at the ceremony to be organised on the occasion of Sri Lanka's 75th Independence Day in Colombo on February 4.

The ministers are scheduled to attend the ceremony.
