Arsen comes up with Nepali version of his memoir

Kathmandu, Aug. 1

Arsen Tomsky, founder and Chief Executive Officer of inDrive, a global mobility and urban services platform, has released the translated version of his book 'inDriver*: From Siberia to Silicon Valley' in Nepal on Tuesday.

Available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, this is the first edition of his book in Nepali language.

Speaking at the programme organised to launch the book, Arsen said that he was delighted to share his journey with the readers.

"The foundation and growth of inDrive is not just a professional endeavour for me, but a deeply personal and emotional journey that has shaped my life, and writing about its development has been transformative, and I am thrilled to invite everyone to embark on this adventure with me," he said.

The book unveils Arsen’s story, from navigating the harsh realities of life in Siberia to taking the leap of faith and venturing into the territories of tech entrepreneurship.

The narrative captures the ups and downs, the risks and rewards, and the pivotal moments that shaped Arsen's journey. From humble beginnings in Yakutia, where opportunity seemed scarce, to the epicentre of technological innovation, Silicon Valley, Arsen’s life story is an inspiring testament to the power of perseverance, teamwork, and innovation.

'inDriver: From Siberia to Silicon Valley' is a tale that celebrates the unyielding  human spirit, the pursuit of dreams, and the power of innovation.

Arsen is a tech entrepreneur from Yakutia who founded inDrive, which has become one of the leading global ride-hailing and mobility platforms. He started as a software engineer and gradually moved into entrepreneurship. Working in the difficult conditions of a remote city in eastern Siberia, he developed his own business development methods and ideology.

The inDrive app has been downloaded over 175 million times, and was the second most downloaded mobility app in 2022. In addition to ride-hailing, inDrive provides an expanding list of urban services, including intercity transportation, freight delivery, task assistance, courier delivery and employment search. The company operates in over 40 countries.

It supports local communities via its peer-to-peer payment model and community empowerment programmes, which help advance education, sports, arts and sciences, gender equality and other vital initiatives. The company previously known as inDriver was rebranded as inDrive in October last year.
