Indonesia's Dhaka-based embassy has made a sticker visa
mandatory while entering Indonesia from Nepal.
The embassy said that the new arrangements have been made
because of the challenges encountered while processing e-visa through various
agencies in Indonesia and Nepal, informed the Honorary Consulate of Indonesia
in Kathmandu.
The embassy issued a circular and suggested that all
visa-related works should be done through the Honorary Consulate of Indonesia
in Kathmandu.
Evaluating the errors in the e-visa application process, the
embassy has also requested not to apply for e-visa when departing from Nepal to
Indonesia.
Chandra Prasad Dhakal, the Honorary Consul of Indonesia for
Nepal, said that initiatives are being taken for visa on arrival when travelling
from Nepal to Indonesia.
He also informed that the embassy and the Indonesian
government have implemented a new arrangement to further facilitate the
existing process for the convenience of Nepali citizens.
