Kathmandu, Dec. 2
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli of Nepal has reached Beijing on a 4-day
official visit. He was welcomed by the Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of the
Communist Party of China, Sun Weidong, and Nepal’s Ambassador to China Dr.
Krishna Prasad Oli at the Beijing Capital International Airport on Monday
evening.
The Prime Minister and his delegation reached Beijing on a special
diplomatic flight operated by the Himalaya Airlines.
According to the PM Oli’s Media Team, the Prime Minister and the member
of his delegation are housed at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing.
Prime Minister Oli has embarked on an entourage of China at
the invitation of his counterpart there, Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council
of the People’s Republic of China.
PM Oli will hold a meeting with Xi Jinping, President of
China on Tuesday. Bilateral talks with Chinese PM Li will also happen the same
day, informed the embassy in a statement.
The Prime Minister will also meet with Zhao Leji, Chairman
of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of the People’s
Republic of China, and deliver a keynote speech at the Peking University.
PM Oli will conclude his visit to China and return to
Kathmandu on Thursday, December 5.
