Alma Lasers comes to Nepal

Kathmandu, Oct. 19: Alma Medical Pvt. Ltd., the Asian subsidiary of Alma Lasers, Wednesday launched its marketing operations in Nepal.
Alma is known as the innovator of laser, light-based, radio frequency and ultrasound solutions for the aesthetic and surgical markets.
The devices range from body hair removal to pigmentation correction to body contruring to treatment of psoriasis and vitiligo, and are marketed by Central Surgical Concern.
Pradip Rayamajhi, managing director of the Concern, said that the range of products approved by the United States Federal Drug Authority were available in Nepal.
The company launched its products at the SAARC Association of Aesthetics Dermatology (SAARC AAD) conference in Kathmandu.
Global director for business development of Alma Lasers, Eyal Buchbinder, said that initiation of business in Nepal was a yet another step toward the company’s commitment to the region.
Alma has its network in 80 countries around the globe.
Dr. Lalan Khatiwada of Nepal Skin Hospital said, “In vitiligo Alma’s 308 Excimer has proven to successfully stimulate the production of new pigment and in psoriasis the monochromatic light of the machines makes the symptoms to disappear.”

SAARC AAD is a one day conference which will be followed by three-day international conference of dermatology.
