Kathmandu, July 7
eSewa Money Transfer, a
remittance company of Nepal and a subsidiary of F1soft International, has
partnered with Shift Financial Services, a UK-based remit company, to provide
remittance services from the UK, Europe, US, Middle East and other 50
countries.
This agreement allows
Nepali migrants residing abroad to easily send money back home to Nepal, the
company said in a statement on Wednesday.
“With
the agreement coming into effect, the sender can credit any bank accounts in
Nepal within minutes or instantly load the eSewa wallet of the beneficiaries here
directly from their smartphone or web service at the lowest possible cost and
in real-time,” read the statement.
Beneficiaries
in Nepal also have the option to receive the cash remittance from more than 8,000
payout locations of the company spread across Nepal and also have the option to
load the money directly in their eSewa wallet.
Shift has a network with more than 250,000 locations across
the globe distributed between banks and exchange offices for cash pickup and
payout.
