Bir’s Joshi honoured with Nightingale Nursing Award-2023

Kathmandu, June 7

Lakshmi Joshi, Head Nurse of Bir Hospital Oncology Ward, has been honored with 'Nightingale Nursing Award-2023'.

Joshi has been honored with 'Nightingale Nursing Award 2023' jointly conferred by Health at Home, Nepal Critical Care Development Foundation, Nepal Ventilators Service, Saghan Critical Care Associates and Med Pro International in recognition of her contribution to the nursing profession in Nepal.

Social activist Anuradha Koirala and founder of Health at Home Medpro International Dr. Bishal Dhakal presented the award along with cash prize to Joshi. Joshi said that award has motivated to fulfill her responsibility even more seriously.

She has been working in the nursing profession for the past 29 years. She was given the award out of 10 nominated nurses.

Health at Home has been honoring nurses by giving this kind of award every year on the occasion of International Nursing Day named after Florence Nightingale. Koirala requested to continue this kind of incentive award and recognition programme in the future.

Similarly, Dr. Dhakal expressed his belief that the award programme conducted in honour of nurses will inspire many nurses to continue in their profession and serve.

According to him, Health at Home has been providing health services by reaching homes. The company has been providing home radiology and other services such as treating patients at home, taking lab tests and reports, giving various types of therapy.
