‘Australia working for safety of Nepali students’

Kathmandu, Sept. 13

Ambassador of Australia to Nepal, Felicity Volk has said that her country is working for the education and safety of Nepali students in Australia. Australia is one of the top educational destinations of Nepali students.

During a courtesy call with Vice-President of the National Planning Commission (NPC), Dr. Min Bahadur Shrestha, on Wednesday at the latter's office at the Singha Durbar, she said that Australia was working for climate change, gender equality, the upliftment of the backward classes.

She also said that her country would continue to support the development of Nepal's tourism sector.

During the meeting, the relations and mutual interests between the two countries were discussed, the NPC said in a statement.

Vice President Shrestha appreciated Australia for its support and cooperation in the social and economic development of Nepal and said that the cooperation will be continued in the future.
