Prime bags Int'l Award

Prime Commercial Bank Limited has won the ‘Best Bank in the Asia-Pacific Region’ award, an international award given away by the Europe Business Assembly (EBA) of the United Kingdom.
Likewise, the banks’s Chief Executive Officer Narayan Das Manandhar received the Best Manager Award.
EBA conferred the award to Manandhar amidst
a function organized in London Wednesday.
EBA awards organisations and personalities – politicians, entrepreneurs, scientists and artistes - that contribute to the economic, scientific, social and cultural development of society. EBA had established the awards in 2000.
According to EBA, the award was given to the Prime Bank because of its best management practices along with better service and facilities to employees and customers.
“The awards were given to the bank because of its efficiency in handling customer service, effectiveness, clear vision, creativity and innovation, professionalism and Corporate Social Responsibility,” read a press release issued by the bank.
Chairman of the bank’s Board of Directors Umesh Lal Shrestha, former chairman duo Narendra Bajracharya and Rajendra Das Shrestha were present in the award ceremony.
The bank has invested in hydroelectricity, cement, industry and other sectors.
Prime’s paid up capital is Rs. 3.79 billion and by the end of first eight months of this Fiscal Year, the bank has mobilised Rs. 42.3 billion deposits and Rs. 34.11 billion.
