Cosmos profit doubled in first quarter

Kathmandu, Nov. 16
Gorkha based Cosmos Development Bank Limited has earned about 97 per cent higher profits in the first quarter of the current fiscal year compared to the same period last year.
A press statement, issued by the bank on the occasion of the completion of six years of service, stated that the bank earned Rs. 5.09 million net profit in the review period.
"In the first quarter of the current fiscal year, the bank has mobilized Rs. 791.6 million deposits and Rs. 516 million loans," said Hridaya Raj Ghimire, chief executive officer of the bank.
The bank has earned Rs. 20.26 per share after issuing right share in 1:1 ratio, recently.

Cosmos is serving more than 30,000 customers through four branch offices in the district.
