Nov. 17: Journalists Thursday paid emotional tributes to late journalist
Sanjaya Neupane at a programme organised by Society of Economic Journalists –
Nepal (SEJON) here.
Neupane
was a former vice-president of SEJON.
SEJON
president recalled the contributions of Neupane to developing the business
journalism.
"He
was a journalist with integrity and he always inspired his colleagues and
fellow journalists," said Awasthi.
SEJON
founding president Prateek Pradhan said that Neupane was best at his job in
reporting and working in a team.
President
of Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ) Dr. Mahendra Bista said that the
FNJ would work to provide support to the family of Neupane if needed.
Late
Neupane succumbed to anaplastic astrocytoma, a rare malignant brain tumour, on
November 5 at the Nepal Cancer Hospital in Lalitpur.
He
served as the editor of Karobar daily and business bureau chief of Kantipur
daily.
He
is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.
