Japan donates 4 ambulances to NRCS

Kathmandu, Nov. 16: The Japan government Wednesday handed over four ambulances to Nepal.
Japanese ambassador to Nepal Masashi Ogawa presented them to four District Red Cross Societies (DRCS) amidst a programme here.
The Nepal Red Cross Society (NRCS) chairperson Sanjeev Thapa gave away the keys to the representatives of the DRCS of Gulmi, Pyuthan, Morang and Udayapur.
The NRCS said, in a press statement, that the vehicles were worth of Rs. 7.4 million.
"I believe that these ambulances will be helpful in addressing the health requirement of the rural people," said Ogawa.
Japan is providing assistance to Nepal in drinking water, sanitation and other various sectors.
NRCS is providing ambulances from 205 vehicles in 67 districts.
