Kathmandu, Apr 21
Western Union Money Transfer Company has announced that Annapurna Travel and Tours and Hulas Remittance will provide home delivery service for its money transfers in Nepal.
The home delivery service will enable customers in Nepal to receive cash without leaving their homes.
While people are unable to make movements due to the lockdown implemented to ensure safety of residents, Annapurna Travel and Tours and Hulas Remittance will deliver money to the receivers at their homes, said the company on Tuesday.

Their home delivery service will be available from Sunday to Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM.

“As a purpose-driven global company, our mandate is to serve communities worldwide and this means not only serving the digitally enabled but also offline communities innovatively. This shared purpose holds true in these current times,” said Jean Claude Farah, President, Global Network, Western Union.

“The launch of this new Agent service - delivering money to customers’ home – will help the public access cash, thereby providing essential financial services to a broad range of customers, including those who do not hold bank accounts,” added Farah.

Navaraj Ghimire, Managing Director, Annapurna Travel and Tours, said that the company was helping the customers get the money comfortably.

Customers can call at the call centre and the latter will contact the customers and request a copy of their identity document by WhatsApp to verify the related information. However, the money will be delivered only after the verification of the original documents.
