Kathmandu, Dec. 31

Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) is organising a webinar on 10 January 2020 on Nepal's Buddhist sites with the motto of ‘Following the Footsteps of the Buddha for Universal Peace and Prosperity.’

The webinar aims to showcase and publicise important Buddhist sites and Nepal's Buddhist tourism on the global platform, it said in a statement on Thursday.

Four important high-level Buddhist monks and scholars are scheduled to speak on the philosophical aspect of the Buddha’s teachings where Ajahn Burin Thitakusalo of the United States of America will discuss on ‘Lumbini the Fountain of World Peace’ and Jaffrey Kotyk of Canada will deliver speech on ‘Medieval Chinese Interactions with Nepal’.

Likewise, Mattia Salvini from Italy will present on ‘Nepal and Sanskrit Buddhism Revisiting in the Present day Context’ and Matthieu Ricard of France will talk on ‘The Sacred Places and Art as a Way to Cultivate Pure Perception’.

“With more than 53 years of experience in tours and travel, NATTA has successfully pooled together professional travel and tour operators and agents under one roof. The purpose is to guide and lead private enterprises within the tourism sector to collectively strengthen and promote Nepal as a top holiday destination in the global tourism map,” it said.
