Kathmandu, May 26
Morang Udhyog Sangathan (MUS) has
appealed to the government for the universal vaccination of the private sector
employees and workers.
It requested with the government
to consider the private sector employees and workers as the frontline workers
and give priority in inoculation drive.
“Without vaccination there are
challenges to operate the businesses and industries but the private sector workers
are not included in the priority for the jab. Therefore, we request the
government to provide vaccination facility to private the sector in order to
continue with the business and industry,” MUS said in a letter sent to Finance
Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel on Tuesday.
It has complained that the local
governments across the country had imposed restriction at different times but
they are not sure when to lift it which has created confusion in the business
community about submitting the tax details and paying it.
MUS has sought clarity in this
regard from the federal government.
It has requested to extend the
deadline for book entry and liabilities payment at least by a month after
lifting the lockdown and gradually push it to six months.
Likewise, loan installment and
interest of fixed loan of the lockdown period should be capitalized and added
to the fixed loan, and repayment period should be extended by a year, said the
Sangathan.
It has also requested for 2 per
cent rebate in the current loan, and waive off all fines including the late
fee.
Similarly, it asked the
government to completely waive the demand charges in electricity during the
lockdown period and bear 33 per cent of the amount to be submitted to the
Social Security Fund.
