NBL to support TU Management in research

Nepal Bank Limited has signed an agreement with the Tribhuvan University, Central Department of Management, to support it in internship of the students and management research.

According to the bank, an agreement has been reached between the bank and department to cooperate in research work.

As per it, students studying in the department can do internship at Nepal Bank while the latter will conduct its research activities in the financial and banking sector through the students and professors of that department.

For the bank's research related work, the academic body will provide the bank with a list of professors as subject experts and the bank will appoint professors under that list as subject experts for the research needed.

Similarly, for the research work, the bank will provide Rs.30,000 cash per person to at least five students as scholarship for research paper writing under the Graduation Research Project (GRP) in the MBA and MBM educational programmes conducted in the management department.

Likewise, the bank will also award ‘Nepal Bank Corporate Leadership Award’ along with cash and medal to the two best students, one male and one female student studying MBA in Corporate Leadership at the Department of Management.

The agreement was recently signed by Navaraj Adhikari, the head of the department, and Hom Bahadur Khadka, Assistant Chief Executive Officer of the bank.

CEO of the bank, Krishna Bahadur Adhikari, expressed his belief that cooperation with the department would be of great help in the research work of Nepal Bank.
