The Embassy of Nepal
in Riyadh has
informed the business and diplomatic community and officials of Saudi Arabia
that the Government of Nepal is actively implementing liberal trade policies, reducing tariffs, simplifying
tax regimes, and focusing on trade-related infrastructure.
Speaking at a reception
hosted by the embassy on Friday to mark the Constitution Day and National Day
of Nepal at the Cultural Palace in Diplomatic Quarter, Riyadh, Ambassador of
Nepal to Saudi Arabia, Navaraj Subedi, encouraged the tourism entrepreneurs and
business organisations to explore and consider foreign investment opportunities
in Nepal.
He highlighted the Great Karnali Quest,
the thrilling 248 km of whitewater rafting competition scheduled to be held
this year in November, informed the Embassy in a statement.
The
Ambassador further underlined that the Nepal and Saudi Arabia have significant
opportunities for tourism, investment, and trade.
According to him, the
exchanges of bilateral visits between the two countries have greatly
contributed in enhancing the relations and there is a need to further expand
and diversify the relations to their potentials for mutual benefits.
The
ceremony was attended by Prince of Saudi Arabia, Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin
Mohammed bin Ayyaf Al Muqrin, Mayor of the Riyadh Province, Deputy Minister of
Protocol Affairs, from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of
Saudi Arabia, high level government officials, ambassadors and heads of
missions, heads of diplomatic community, representatives of international
organisations, business leaders and members of Nepali community.
