Speaking at a press meet here,
vice-chairman of the PAF Dr. Yam Bahadur Thapa said that the 67th
meeting of the Fund held on May 30 decided to collaborate with the local
government while implementing the poverty alleviation programmes in wards of
and communities there.
He said that as the funds
provided by the donors like the World Bank have been depleting, the PAF was
planning to diversify the sources of income, and obtaining support from
multilateral, bilateral and other international donor organisations.
The fund is developing itself so
it could play an instrumental role in ending poverty and achieving the
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
PAF’s progammes are including
more than 4 million poor people of 800,000 households from 60 districts through
32,000 community organisations.
