International trade fair in March

The Nepal International Trade Fair (NITF) will be held in Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu in March 2020.
The co-organiser of the annual event Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) said that the fair would be organised from March 19 to 23.
The fair is being organised as a forum for presenting national brands and products and promoting them, and establishing business contacts with potential buyers, suppliers and technology providers for enhancing businesses, FNCCI said. 
It also aims at creating business relations with foreign investors and forging partnerships with them and promoting the products included in the Nepal Trade Integration Strategy.
The event is being organised in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry Commerce and Suppplies, Trade and Export Promotion Centre (TEPC) and co-organised by Federation of Handicraft Association of Nepal (FHAN) and Lalitpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
It is a calendar event of the FNCCI. 
There were correspondences from China, India, Bangladesh, Thailand and Pakistan to book 80, 40, 60, 20 and five stalls respectively at the fair while the booking is open for the Nepali industries and businesses. FNCCI is communicating with more countries to participate in the fair, said Dil Sundar Shrestha, Chairman of the Trade Fair Committee at the FNCCI.
There will be 300 stalls and a separate pavilion for the NTIS products. Ten stalls are separated for the best goods and services from various districts.
Shrestha said that the fair would also be instrumental in promoting Visit Nepal Year 2020. There will be discussions on various tourist destinations across the country and facility to book tourism packages at the fair.
FNCCI Vice-President Kishor Shrestha said that the fair would be an important link to enhance trade and business relations between the domestic and international businesspersons and industrialists and attract investment in Nepal.
About 325 exhibitors had participated in the trade fair in 2019 and about 100,000 people visited it. The entry ticket for the fair is Rs. 50 while students can buy it at Rs. 30.
