FM Saud leaves for Qatar

Kathmandu, Dec. 9

Minister for Foreign Affairs, NP Saud departed for Qatar on Saturday morning to attend the 21st conference in Doha.

During the Doha Forum in Qatar starting on Sunday, December 10, FM Saud will address the high-level meeting and emphasise the release of Bipin Joshi, who has gone missing in Israel since war out broke between Israel and Palestinian rebel group, HAMAS.

His priority in Qatar also includes seeking support for Joshi's release from HAMAS captivity, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) informed in a statement.

While in Qatar, Foreign Minister Saud is scheduled to discuss the Bipin Joshi issue with his Qatari counterpart, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Soltan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi.

Earlier, he had urged Minister of State Muraikhi, Israeli government's coordinator for Prisoners and Missing Persons, Gal Hirsch, Qatari Ambassador to Nepal, Mishal Mohammad Al Ansari and Israeli Ambassador to Nepal, Hanan Goder, to take the initiative for Joshi's release.
