Kathmandu, Mar. 9:
Gongabu based BG Mall has launched BSR Movies, a multiplex cinema hall,
with Dolby Atmos sound system at its premises.
Dolby Atmos is different than the other sound setup because of the use of
overhead speakers along with surround sound.
Senior cine artiste Nir Shah and chairman of BG Mall Basu Giri jointly
inaugurated the multiplex amidst a programme on Thursday.
Shah appreciated the company for adapting to latest technology in the
cinema industry and said that the dense settlement and high mobility of people
in and around the bus park would provide good business opportunity for the
cinema.
BSR has two cinema halls – 150 seat capacity Atmos 1 and 140 seat
capacity Atmos 2.
“Audience can feel the sound in the way it is originated and feel the
sound direction and distance. We are the first to implement this latest
technology,” said Raju Giri, chairman of the company.
Actress Gauri Malla, film directors, producers, artistes and other
personalities were present on the occasion.
