Kathmandu,
Mar. 21: National Banking Institute (NBI) and Society of Economic Journalists –
Nepal (SEJON) Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to build the
capacity of economic journalists.
According
to the MoU, NBI will provide training to 25 journalists on anti-money
laundering every year, and will organize training and workshops as per the
curriculum developed by the SEJON.
One
month-long online training on anti-money laundering will be certified after an
internet-based examination.
Chief
executive officer of the NBI Sanjiv Subba and SEJON president Gokarna Awasthi
signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organisations.
