Border issue to be solved through diplomatic channels: Gyawali

Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali on Sunday said that the border dispute would be resolved through diplomatic channels. 

Speaking on the issue on India’s publication of a new map including Kalapani, Lipulek and Limpiyadhura in its territory, he said that the government wanted it to resolve in a diplomatic way. 

“No country has the right to encroach the Nepali land,” he said at a programme organised to inaugurate a health post in Jubhung of Gulmi Durbar Rural Municipality-2 in the district. 

Minister Gyawali said that Nepal had enough evidences that the encroached land belonged to her. He also stated that the country was maintaining the strong friendship and cordial mutual relations with the neighbouring countries. 

Speaking on an another context, FM Gyawali said that the corrupt people were committing suicide as they had lost the opportunity for engaging in corruption. 

“The rich and powerful were evading the law due to various reasons so far. But the government is committed to bring the corrupt and criminals under the legal net,” he said.

 He maintained that nobody would be spared if they broke the laws.
The minister was felicitated by the rural municipality at the programme.
