Govt committed to increase excess of justice


Kathmandu, Nov. 5
Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal has said that the government was committed to increasing the access of marginalised and deprived communities to justice.
"Enhancing access of poor people, and marginalised and backward communities to justice is government's priority," he said while speaking on 'Justice Sector Reform and Technology' at the Law, Justice and Development Week, 2019 organised by the World Bank Group in Washington DC of the United States of America.
The event started on Monday and will run till Thursday.
Talking about the recent status of the use of information technology in the judiciary and pertinent challenges, he said that Nepal government was interested to work with the WB in developing infrastructure and human resource required for the strengthening of the information technology in the courts.
The session was attended by law and justice ministers, chief justice, justices and attorney general of 25 countries, said the Ministry of Finance in a statement.
