Govt will collaborate with private sector: FM Paudel

 Kathmandu, Nov. 29

Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel said on Sunday that the government would move ahead in collaboration with the private sector.

In a meeting with a delegation of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) at his office in Singha Durbar, he urged the business community to work with high confidence amidst the adversities created by the COVID-19 pandemic.

He reiterated that the government would continue to promote and encourage the private sector and would seek feedback from it in policy making process and implementation.

“We will be in consultation to address the demands and issues put forth by the private sector. This discussion is just the beginning of this dialogue, not an end,” said Minister Paudel.

According to him, special attention would be paid to the effective implementation of refinancing and other business relief programmes to promote the private sector.

However, he urged the businesspersons to consider the limitations of the government as well.

CNI recommended the government to address the problems created by COVID-19 and implement the programmes announced in the budget of the current fiscal year 2020/21.

Meanwhile, FM Paudel allocated all the budget of the Local Infrastructure Development Partnership Programme in Rupandehi, constituency no. 2 to health sector. He represents the constituency.

According to the Finance Ministry, budget is allocated to Shankarnagar Health Post, Padampani Yoga and Natural Health Centre, Lumbini Provincial Hospital and Urban Health Centre in Butwal.
