Finance Minister
Bishnu Prasad Paudel said on Sunday that the government would move ahead in
collaboration with the private sector.
In a meeting with
a delegation of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) at his office in
Singha Durbar, he urged the business community to work with high confidence amidst
the adversities created by the COVID-19 pandemic.
He reiterated
that the government would continue to promote and encourage the private sector
and would seek feedback from it in policy making process and implementation.
“We will be in consultation
to address the demands and issues put forth by the private sector. This
discussion is just the beginning of this dialogue, not an end,” said Minister
Paudel.
According to
him, special attention would be paid to the effective implementation of
refinancing and other business relief programmes to promote the private sector.
However, he
urged the businesspersons to consider the limitations of the government as
well.
CNI recommended
the government to address the problems created by COVID-19 and implement the
programmes announced in the budget of the current fiscal year 2020/21.
Meanwhile, FM
Paudel allocated all the budget of the Local Infrastructure Development
Partnership Programme in Rupandehi, constituency no. 2 to health sector. He
represents the constituency.
According to the
Finance Ministry, budget is allocated to Shankarnagar Health Post, Padampani
Yoga and Natural Health Centre, Lumbini Provincial Hospital and Urban Health
Centre in Butwal.
