FM Paudyal to visit Sri Lanka

Kathmandu, Jan. 31

Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr. Bimala Rai Paudyal is scheduled to visit Sri Lanka to participate in the 75th Independence Day functions of the country as an honored guest in Colombo from February 3-4, 2023. 

She is visiting the country at the invitation of her Sri Lankan counterpart M.U.M. Ali Sabry, Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed in a statement.

In Colombo, Foreign Minister Paudyal is scheduled to meet with her counterpart and attend the cultural festival ‘LankaraLanka’ to be organised by the Presidential Secretariat at the Independence Square on February 3.  

The Foreign Minister will attend the 75th Independence Day Celebration functions to be organised at Galle Face Green, pay courtesy calls on the President of Sri Lanka, Ranil Wickremesinghe, and the Prime Minister, Dinesh Gunawardena, and attend the reception hosted by the President of Sri Lanka at the President’s House on February 4.

The Foreign Minister is scheduled to leave for Colombo on February 2 and return to Kathmandu on February 5.
