Kishor Panel announces the name of candidates

Dhakal unanimously elected as the VP-Associate

Kathmandu, Apr. 3: Incumbent vice-president (Industry Commerce) of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Kishor Kumar Pradhan panel has announced the name of candidates contesting the election for the upcoming leadership of the largest private sector organization in the country.
The candidacy was announced at a programme organized on Sunday evening here.
Shankar Prasad Pandeya, chairman of the Bank, Finance and Insurance Committee at the FNCCI and Pramod Shrestha, executive committee member of the organization are contesting for the post of vice president Commodity, and District and Municipal.
Likewise, Kalyan Joshi of Chitwan, Khush Narayan Sainju of Khotang, Gajendra Bhagat of Gaighat, Dipendra Kshetri of Tulasipur,  Pashupati Khadka of Ramechhap, Manish Lal Pradhan of Lalitpur, Manoj Mundara of Saptari, Yubak Rajbhandari of Bhaktapur, Rajendra Shrestha of Sindhupalchowk, Lok Bikram Thapa of Kanchanpur, Santosh Khatiwada of Taplejung and Sudarshan Karki of Dolakha are fighting for District and Municipal Group from the Pradhan Panel.
Similarly, Ashok Sharma of Nepal Film Association, Govinda Ghimre of Nepal Herbs and Herbal Product Association, Chandi Prasad Aryal of Garment Association, Dr. Til Chnadra Bhattarai of Nepal Feed Industry Association, Dipak Bahadur Shahi of Nepal Solar Energy Producers Association, Naresh Lal Shrestha of Felt Industries Association of Nepal, Prakash Karki of Nepal Freight Forwarders Association and Madhu Sudhan Acharya of Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents are contesting for the member of Commodity Group.
Likewise, Ritesh Lamichhane of Nepal Goods Carrier Association, Santosh Shrestha of Advertising Association of Nepal, Sukunta Lal Hirachan of Federation of Contractors Association of Nepal, Shiva Prasad Ghimire of Nepal LP Gas Industry Association, Shailendra Guragain of Independent Power Producers Association Nepal and Hansa Raj Wagle of Nepal Association of Foreign Employment Agencies are also fighting for the member's post in the Commodity.
Former presidents of FNCCI Kush Kumar Joshi and Suraj Vaidya said that the Pradhan Panel was capable of leading the organization and work in the interest of the private sector and the country.
Pradhan said that if elected, his panel would work for the interest and rights of business community, enhance the confidence of investors and industrialists, raise the social prestige of the FNCCI and make it strong agent of economic progress, organizational and secretariat strengthening of the FNCCI and would focus on export promotion and import substitute.
"We work for the capacity building of the members of province, district, municipal, commodity and binational chambers, commercialization of agriculture and involvement of private sector in it, development of special programmes of small and medium scale industries, improvement of labour-management relationship, establishment of 'Private Sector Development Research Centre', and expansion of international relations," read a document issued by Pradhan.
Meanwhile, Chandra Prasad Dhakal has been unanimously elected as the vice-president (Associate) as no nomination was registered for the post apart from him.
Likewise, Shekhar Golchha also has filed nomination for the senior vice-president.

Dinesh Shrestha and Umesh Shrestha are contesting for the vice-president District and Municipal and Commodity respectively from Golchha Panel.
