President of Advertising Association of
Nepal (AAN) Santos Shrestha has filed his nomination of the post of Central
Committee member of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and
Industry.
According to a press statement issued by
the apex body of Nepalese advertising agencies, he has announced his candidacy
for the member of the commodity sector representing advertising market and
media.
Shrestha is managing director of Mars
Advertising Agency, and is in the field for the last one-and-a-half decades. He
has also served as the secretary and general secretary of the AAN.
“Media and advertising has a tremendous
role in marketing of Nepalese goods and industrial development. Therefore, I
will put my efforts to promote advertising and media as well as the FNCCI,” he
said.
Shrestha is one of the major campaigner
of the ‘Bagmati Cleaning’ campaign, and has been involved in it for the last
four years.
He is working with the government for
the policy reforms relate to the advertising sector, and pledged to work for
the same in future.
“But, my major role in the FNCCI will be
to strengthen its organizational capacity, and coordinate with the government
in making business-friendly act and regulations,” he said.
