James and Jewellery Council reconstituted

Kathmandu, Feb. 14

James and Jewellery Council is reconstituted after being inactive for about four years.

The organization formed to promote gold and silver businesses in Nepal is revived recently. It was formed with the joint initiative of Federation of Nepalese Gold and Silver Dealers Association (FENEGOSIDA), Federation of Nepal Gold Silver Gem and Jewellery Associations (FNGSGJA) and Federation of Handicraft Associations of Nepal (FHAN).

FNEGOSIDA's President Manik Ratna Shakya said that the council would work as an umbrella organisation of the three federations. Leadership of it would be selected as per cycle system.

Ramesh Maharjan of FNGSGJA is appointed as the coordinator of the council. After a year Shakya would chair it and in the third year Surendra Bhai Shakya of FHAN would lead it.
