Kathmandu, Feb. 21
The bank has supported
the social welfare organisation as per its corporate social responsibility
initiative.
The Ashram was established
in 2018 with an objective of rescuing, rehabilitating and providing shelter to the
physically and mentally disabled people who are living in the street and to
make Nepal free from street dependent, homeless and helpless people within
2022.
The organisation with
its head office in Hetauda, Makwanpur is providing its services from 17 centres
located at all seven provinces of Nepal.
The items were given to
Homnath Timilsina, Gandaki Province of the Ashram and Rajan Sapkota, District
Coordinator and Head, Manavsewa Ashram, Pokhara by Venkat Nageswar Chalasani,
Deputy Managing Director, International Banking Group, State Bank of India and Soma
Sankara Prasad, Deputy Managing Director & Group Compliance Officer, State
Bank of India. Dipak Kumar De, Managing Director and CEO of Nepal SBI Bank Ltd
and other high ranking officials of the bank were present at the item handover
programme.
